This program will focus on the assessment and treatment of foot disorders in adults and children. Topics will include both conservative and surgical management of foot pathology with emphasis placed on audience participation.

9th Annual Chicago Trauma Symposium

The purpose of this course is to provide a basis for recognition and modern management of complex trauma and musculoskeletal injuries. The course is an intensive three days of sessions with a series of lectures which include twelve specialized hands-on workshops.
Course Objectives: Designed to offer the orthopaedic surgeon an integrated approach to trauma management. At the conclusion of this symposium, participants will be able to:
• Utilize proven techniques of long bone stabilization, including intramedullary nailing, external fixation and plating.
• Discuss the indications and complications associated with the use of pelvic external fixation.
• Cite current concepts in the initial management of pelvic and acetabular fractures.
• Cite current concepts in the initial management of upper extremity trauma.
• Apply current methods for the management of foot and ankle trauma.
• List treatment options for management of complex lower extremity injuries.
• Become familiar with locked-plating techniques and image-guided surgery.
